Perry Mandera – Award-Wining Businessman, Husband, and Father

Perry Mandera is a business executive with more than 30 years of solid experience. His years of experience inspired him to start the Custom Companies, Inc. Mandera is also an avid supporter of ISCC, which awarded him the Bishop Sheil Award in 2010. The award named him citizen of the year.

Perry Mandera has also set a trucking industry standard for the past three decades. The Custom Companies, Inc. provides a host of transportation services that include domestic and international air freight, truckload, contract cartage, hot shot, expedited ground, warehousing, pick and pack, logistics, and more. His company offers services that address both full and partial loads.

Add to the company’s resume that it provides freight forwarding for both international and domestic business, delivery for products that are temperature-controlled, handling for industrial machinery and building materials, and handling for other large commodities.

Perry Mandera also has a charitable side to him. As founder of Custom Cares Charities, he constantly strives to improve the lives of others. The Charity dedicates itself to the transportation industry. Mandera, a successful entrepreneur, shows the same loving and care for his own family. He and his family faithfully attend church as well. His spiritual life, combined with his professional life, have made a major impact in the Chicago area. Along with his love of sports, he is a proud member of the Marine Corps Reserves.

Mandera’s motor pool job in the Marine Corps gave him his initial experience for driving trucks. After returning to civilian life with an honorable discharge, he worked for several transportation companies before branching out on his own. It only took him five years to build his business to the point where he could sell it.

Mandera also has political interests whereby he served as a Republican ward committeeman for Chicago’s 26th Ward. For the position of committeeman, Mandera is the youngest person, so far, to have served. His business today employs more than 300 people with sales that surpass $200 million. His business also employs numerous agents and offices throughout the country.
