Dallas Women’s Foundation 2017 Luncheon Gets a Huge Sponsor

The Dallas Women’s Foundation is committed to changing the lives of women and girls in North Texas. They are founded on the belief that when you change a woman’s life you also change the lives of her family. They hold the largest regional fund across the globe that is used to life women out of poverty.

Every year the Foundation hosts an annual luncheon. The 2017 luncheon was held at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. The event brings together over 1,300 business, community and civi leaders for an afternoon of speakers, networking and fellowship. This year the key speaker was Dr. Hope Jahren. Dr. Jahren was nominated one of TIME Magazine’s Top 100 Influential People. The annual luncheon was sponsored by Nexbank.

Nexbank is commercial bank with their home offices located in Dallas, Texas. This year they donated $100,000 to the Dallas Women’s Foundation to sponsor their annual luncheon. As of September, 2017, the institution had over $7.6 billion in assets. Nexbank specializes in corporations, real estate investors and institutions, providing them with all of the banking services to meet their needs.

Established in 1934, Nexbank is the 12th largest bank in the state. As of June, 2017, the company has three locations, all in Dallas, and has a consistent health rating of A. James Dondero, chairman of the institution, has an impressive resume and is the Co-Founder and President of Highland Capital Management, L.P. He oversees an executive team of six of the industry’s leaders.

With the collective talents and experience of the executive team, Nexbank remains focused on meeting the financial objectives of their clients. Combined, the executive team has over 20 years experience in the commercial banking industry. The team members lead other boards, like the Board of Directors of the Texas Bankers Association and Real Estate Council Community Fund. Many of them are actively involved in their community and dedicated to helping other organizations, such as the Dallas Women’s Foundation.
