Andrey Andreev – A “Badoo” Deal

Founder of Virus, Mamba, Badoo, one of today’s largest social networks in the world, and co-founder of woman-focused dating app Bumble, Russian billionaire Andrey Andreev has been in the limelight as of late for sexual misconduct. Worth $2.4 billion according to Forbes, Andreev has constantly set out to improve the world by providing tools that can help people around the world.

Andrey Andreev is now investigating the allegations on the misconduct claims regarding Badoo’s culture. Co-founder and CEO of Bumble Whitney Wolfe Herd has stated, “he’s become my family and one of my best friends.” Andrey Andreev created his holding company, Magic Lab, to serve as a central control point for all his subsidiaries. With a shared “best-in-class” engineering team that allows his brands to operate efficiently, ensure scalability, and take advantage of flexibility. Magic Lab is intent on tackling ageism, misogyny, self-doubt, and stereotypes (Onlinepersonalswatch).

“Today we are making our mission known to the world – Magic Lab creates life-changing moments for millions of people by building relationships,” said Andrey Andreev. “Those special moments when people meet for the first time are what makes life memorable. The formation of this group reflects our belief that the Internet can be used as a force for good and that everyone deserves a connection, no matter your social, ethnic, or economic background.”

And this mission is being met with the subsidiaries. Lumen was founded in 2018 and intended to end loneliness and ageism by connecting people over 50. Chappy was founded in 2017 as a safe haven for gay dating, promoting acceptance. Badoo was founded in 2006 by Andrey Andreev as a pioneering way for people to date online honestly. Bumble, founded in 2014, focuses on women making the first move allowing people to join forces for dating, friendship, or to network professionally.

Andrey Andreev has been executing his strategy of providing more dating apps to more and more niche groups. This has been met by the competition such as Match Group Inc, owners of Match.com, who have since created a dating app for people with pets and members of the Mormon Church.

Expect to see more from Andreev and his brands as they provide more ways to bring society together.
